Thietmarsiae Holsaticae Regionis Partis Typus and Rugiae Usedomiae et Iulienae
Two maps of one sheet showing Dietmarschen at the mouth of the Elbe and Eider Rivers and the north Pomeranian coast showing the island of Rugen and the peninsula of Wolin and Usedom.
The Dietmarschen map is credited to Peter Boekel while the left map is based on a manuscript provided by Petrus von Edeling, who asked not be credited on the map. The islands next to Rugen no longer exist, probably due to land fill, forming a peninsula of the regions of Wolin and Usedom. An engraving date of 1584 is present on the map of Rugen. The left map is orientated with north at the top while the right map shows east at the top.
Original hand colour. Latin text on verso (image avaialble on request).
